È giunta al termine la mostra Yayoi Kusama. Infinito Presente che dal 17 Novembre 2023 fino al 21 Aprile 2024 ha presentato a Palazzo della Ragione di Bergamo, Fireflies on the Water, una delle Infinity Mirror Room più iconiche di Yayoi Kusama, generosamente prestata dal Whitney Museum of American Art di new York.Yayoi Kusama, Fireflies on the Water, 2002. Infinito Presente, held from 17 November 2023 until 21 April 2024 at Palazzo della Ragione in Bergamo, featured Fireflies on the Water: one of Yayoi Kusama’s most iconic Infinity Mirror Rooms, generously loaned by the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York.Organizzata da The Blank Contemporary Art e promossa in intesa culturale con il Comune di Bergamo, la mostra è stato l’evento più ricercato nell’anno di Bergamo Brescia Capitale italiana della Cultura e la manifestazione d’arte contemporanea più visitata di sempre nella città di Bergamo.Organised by The Blank Contemporary Art and promoted as part of a cultural agreement together with the Municipality of Bergamo, the exhibition became the most sought-after event in the year of Bergamo-Brescia Italian Capital of Culture, not to mention the most visited contemporary art event ever in the city of Bergamo.In cinque mesi di apertura la mostra è stata vista da 93.100 persone, che hanno ammirato l’opera dell’artista tra le più popolari e amate al mondo. L’evento, secondo quanto elaborato da Visit Bergamo, ha generato un indotto sul territorio, pari a €7.605.825.Over the five months it was open, the exhibition was attended by some 93,100 people, who admired the work of one of the world’s most popular and best-loved artists. According to Visit Bergamo, the event generated an induced revenue of €7,605,825 in the area.Altrettanto straordinari sono i numeri relativi al catalogo monografico edito da Skira, a cura di Stefano Raimondi e con i testi critici di Diego Sileo e Stella Bottai, che è stato venduto, solo sul mercato italiano, in 5.000 copie.Equally extraordinary are the numbers for the monograph catalogue published by Skira, edited by Stefano Raimondi and featuring critical texts by Diego Sileo and Stella Bottai, which sold 5,000 copies on the Italian market alone.La mostra è stata frequentata da adulti e bambini, per un totale di 164 laboratori per famiglie e studenti e 193 visite guidate, tra cui in LIS (Lingua dei segni italiana) e adattate alle persone cieche e ipovedenti, per garantire l’accessibilità a questo evento storico, che da oggi è raccontato in un documentario realizzato dallo studio di produzione video No Elevator, che ha raccolto le voci di alcuni dei protagonisti di questo progetto.The exhibition was attended by adults and children, for a total of 164 workshops for families and students and 193 guided tours, including those in LIS (Italian Sign Language) and adapted for the blind and visually impaired in order to ensure maximum accessibility to this historic event, now recounted in a documentary made by the video production studio No Elevator, which brought together the voices of some of the protagonists of this project.E’ possibile vedere il documentario Yayoi Kusama.
